Whitney is an Associate at Makes & Partners Law Firm, where she is actively engaged in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, foreign investments, and general corporate transactions, with transaction experience ranging from multi-jurisdiction acquisitions, public takeovers, and private equity transactions.
She began her practice developing a strong foundation in Indonesian corporate, capital markets, and commercial law, with particular exposure to cross-border transactions. She is closely involved in conducting complex legal due diligence for M&A and investment matters, emphasizing analytical rigor and clear, structured legal analysis.
Prior to joining the Firm, Whitney graduated cumlaude from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Student on Competitions by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. Her academic achievements include multiple national awards in contract drafting, legal opinion, and legal writing competitions. She was also awarded the Indonesian International Student Mobility Award (IISMA) Scholarship by the Government of Indonesia, under which she undertook an exchange program at Michigan State University, achieving a GPA of 4.00.

- PT Ciliandra Perkasa, a majority-owned subsidiary of First Resources Limited, in its acquisition of controlling stake in PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk, a publicly listed agribusiness group, representing Indonesia’s largest acquisition in the first quarter of 2025 and a landmark consolidation in the plantation and agri-commodities sector
- Djarum Group in its landmark acquisition of the parent company of Bakmi GM, a legendary and culturally iconic Indonesian restaurant chain, representing a strategic entry into the food and beverage sector and a deliberate diversification of the Group’s portfolio
- Lim Shrimp Ord. Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based aquaculture company, in its acquisition of a controlling stake in PT Sumber Mas Konstruksi Tbk (SMKM), a publicly listed company construction company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, representing a cross-border public takeover transaction and a strategic entry into Indonesia’s capital market
- Sunningdale Tech Ltd., a Singapore-based global manufacturer of precision-engineered plastic components, on its acquisition of Sanwa Plastic Industry Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiaries in Indonesia, resulting in the creation of one of the largest precision plastics engineering groups in the region
- Advantage Partners, a leading private equity investment firm in Japan, in its multi-jurisdiction acquisition of ITS Science and Medical Group, a medical and healthcare equipment distribution business operating across various Southeast Asian markets
- Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Inc. (KKR) one of the world’s leading global investment firms, in connection with Indonesian competition law advisory and compliance for its multiple acquisitions in the education, healthcare, and technology sectors
- PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk (APLN), one of Indonesia’s leading large-scale property and real estate developers, in its strategic acquisition of 37 Strata Title Certificates relating to Deli Park Mall Medan from Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp., involving a complex cross-border real estate transaction, detailed land and strata title due diligence, and regulatory considerations applicable to a publicly listed property group
- PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) in connection with multiple issuances of rupiah-denominated bonds and sukuk listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, supporting the diversified financing requirements of a complex corporate group comprising more than 80 subsidiaries, and underpinning the Group’s long-term capital structure optimization
