Rivania is a Senior Associate at Makes & Partners Law Firm and a key member of the Firm’s Banking & Finance practice. She was recognised as a Rising Star in Banking by IFLR1000 in 2025, reflecting her strong technical capability and growing market profile. Rivania is known for her meticulous execution and regularly represents a wide range of lenders and borrowers, advising on bilateral and syndicated financings, structured and acquisition financings, refinancings, and transactions involving intricate fund flows and security arrangements.
Building on her strong banking foundation, Rivania is also actively involved in M&A transactions that are closely intertwined with complex financing schemes, where careful coordination between acquisition structures, funding mechanics, and regulatory requirements is critical.
In recent years, Rivania has further expanded her practice into corporate governance, with a particular focus on the preparation of “White Books” as governance blueprints for key industry players in both the public and private sectors. These frameworks are often developed as part of transaction readiness, providing a sound governance foundation prior to the execution of strategic and high-value transactions.
Rivania joined the Firm in 2021, after six years at a Jakarta-based boutique law firm where she advised on vessel financing and a broad range of banking and finance matters.

- PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), as lender in providing a senior term loan facility to Mayapada Healthcare Group, supporting the strategic expansion of healthcare infrastructure and hospital facilities in Indonesia.
- PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk. (LPKR), as borrower in syndicated loan facilities provided by Bank Negara Indonesia and CIMB Niaga, supporting the Group’s corporate financing and capital structure requirements.
- PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. (APLN), in the sale of strata title units of Neo Soho Mall and Deli Park Mall Medan, two iconic and landmark retail destinations in Indonesia, to entities controlled by Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp., representing a high-profile cross-border acquisition of prime commercial real estate assets by one of Japan’s leading property groups.
- PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk & PT Samator Gas Industri, as borrowers under multi-lender loan facilities provided by leading domestic and international banks, supporting the financing needs of one of Indonesia’s largest industrial gas groups.
- PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk (previously known as PT Bank BTPN Tbk), as lender in connection with a corporate loan facility extended to PT Kepland Investama, involving structured financing and lender-side risk considerations.
- PT Victoria Investama Tbk and PT Bank Victoria International Tbk, in its strategic sale of 99.99% of their shares in PT Bank Victoria Syariah to PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, with the aim to merge BTN Syariah with Victoria Syariah to establish a new sharia bank, which is expected to become the second-largest state-owned sharia bank in Indonesia after PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk
- PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. (APLN), as borrower, in structuring and securing loan facilities from PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk., including advising on strategic financing architecture, risk allocation, and transaction optics within the prevailing banking and regulatory framework.
- PT Bundamedik Tbk. (BMHS), in its strategic acquisition of 100% of the shares in RSIA Az-Zahra Palembang and Citra Harapan Hospital, navigating deal structuring, regulatory compliance, and integration considerations within Indonesia’s evolving healthcare landscape.
- PT Morula Indonesia, in its strategic expansion through the acquisition of 100% of the shares in RSIA Pusura Tegalsari, Surabaya, advising on transaction structuring, healthcare regulatory interface, and long-term growth positioning.
- Various strategic and prominent state-owned enterprises, including a leading state-owned bank and a leading regional drinking water provider, in the preparation of governance white papers forming part of high-level institutional strengthening, policy alignment, and reputational positioning initiatives.
