Niki is a Partner at Makes & Partners Law Firm, an award-winning law firm in Southeast Asia, located in Jakarta, Indonesia. She joined the Firm in 2023 as a partner, after over a decade of experience in a magic circle firm (Allen & Overy) and a start-up company.

She specialises in private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), fundraisings, inbound investment, and private equity-style transactions across various sectors.

Through her work over the years, Niki has developed extensive legal expertise with a keen understanding of business operations and commercial issues, which enables her to provide practical and sound legal advice.

She is well-versed in the workings of the Indonesian market as she has been involved in complex corporate transactions and award-winning deals including among others (i) the Gojek merger with Tokopedia, which was the largest merger of 2021 in Indonesia (ii) Tokopedia in its series E, F and G fundraisings, where the Series E fundraising was recognised as 2018 Equity Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business (iii) Pentair Plc (NYSE: PNR), in its sale of Valves & Controls to Emerson Electric Co. (NYS: EMR), this deal was nominated for 2017 M&A Deal of the Year by Asian Legal Business (iv) helping Amazon for its proposed establishment of an e-commerce business in Indonesia.
