Senior Associate
Angela is a Senior Associate at Makes & Partners and her expertise mainly lies in the Banking and Finance Practice.
Over the years, she has gained an in-depth experience in matters pertaining to syndicated lending and structured financing and has handled transactions both from the lender’s and the borrower’s side. Among the high-profile financing deals Angela has worked on, some of them are: (i) assisting PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk (as borrower) in obtaining syndicated loan facilities by Credit Opportunities II Pte. Limited, in the total amount of US$ 127 million, (ii) assisting PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk in its issuance of US$ 250 million aggregate principal amount of 8.375% Senior Secured Notes due 2022 and simultaneously the issuance of US$ 250 million syndicated term loan facilities agreement, and (iii) advising PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk in the financing of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk by International Finance Corporation in the total amount of US$ 100 million for an industrial estate development.
Due to Angela’s vast knowledge and experience in the banking and finance sector, she was brought on board to assist with the financing aspects of the issuance of the largest Indonesian Dana Investasi Real Estat or “DIRE” (Real Estate Investment Fund) namely DIRE Simas Plaza Indonesia, listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange by PT Sinarmas Asset Management and PT Plaza Indonesia Realty Tbk with the total asset amounting to IDR 13 trillion.
Angela was also actively involved in various M&A deals of the firm, including assisting (i) PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk in one of the biggest cross border M&A deals of 2019, which involved the acquisition by SCG Packaging of a controlling 55% stake in FASW by way of purchasing existing shares from FASW’s existing shareholders and (ii) PT Cinemaxx Global Pasifik, in the acquisition by Thymelicus Holding B.V. representing 46.19% of the issued share capital of PT Cinemaxx Global Pasifik. Angela graduated from the Universitas Katolik Parahyangan and is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).
